I was given the name of Andy by a trusted local realtor who advised they had a client who used him for a small job, but had no other information other than they were pleased with his work.  I contacted Andy via telephone and immediately could tell he knew his trade and was very experienced and knowledgeable.  I requested from Andy three references of past clients since there wasn't much on the internet I could find.  After contacting all three who all agreed he did great work, I met with Andy in person to go over the scope of my project which was restoring a house built in the 60's that was in need of a lot of work (all new plumbing, electrical, flooring, paint, windows, complete kitchen and bathroom restoration, land work, etc).  Andy made me feel comfortable trusting him with the work especially since I lived over 2 hours from the project and could not easily check-in on the process.  I also really appreciated that Andy broke down the scope of the project in an itemized agreement and, when requested, added items that were fairly priced separately. 

I have worked with a lot of contractors in the past and the biggest issue has always been lack of or poor communication.  I never had that issue with Andy.  Not only did he respond rapidly to my request, scheduled times to meet, and actually showed up on time every time, but he always responded to questions within hours if not sooner and kept me informed throughout the process with pictures and updates.   I was very skeptical to start this project but after meeting Andy I felt comfortable that this could be done, and even more important, within my budget.  I'm very pleased with the outcome and the professional work that was done to restore my property.  I would not hesitate to recommend Andy for your construction needs and I consider him not only a great responsible contractor, but an honest person that will go the extra mile to achieve the best outcome and customer satisfaction!

If you're looking for a handyman or contractor in the Asheville/Brevard area, I highly recommend Andy. Andy came out to my property to help me decide on a shed for my backyard. I was considering a premade shed from Lowes that would need delivery and assembly, but after we talked, it made more sense to have him custom-build something to fit my needs for roughly the same cost. I couldn't be happier with the finished product. In addition to the shed build, his team painted my six-foot privacy fence, four-foot hog panel fence, and deck, installing a chimney cap and weather stripping on my front door. He did a very professional job all around. We had to postpone a few days because of the weather, and communication about the schedule and materials was spot on. To begin he stayed in constant communication as to when he could arrive, he showed up when he stated, and at the time he stated (which is a rare occurrence in my experience). He walked the property on day one, made a few observations for the things I missed and got everything staged, and procured the necessary supplies, Andy came back on day two and worked right through the entire list.
